They're going fast, but we still have a good selection of vintage Star Wars figures and toys, plus the mid-90's versions, too.
Now celebrating it's twenty-fifth anniversary, Star Wars has become a dominant "force" in our popular culture. Luke, Leia, Han, Chewy, Darth, Ben, Yoda and all the rest are now part of our cultural family. They are as familiar to us as Santa Claus, Mother Goose, Paul Bunyan, Aesop, Johnny Appleseed, and other popular figures of mythology and folklore. It's hard to believe that they've only been around for 25 years! The first Star Wars figures(about a dozen) came out in 1977 and were continually expanded upon until the mid-1980's, when the collection numbered over 90 different action figures and scores of other vehicles, playsets, household items, clothing, models, board games, records, books, and other objects sporting the Star Wars logo. In the mid-1990's, Star Wars figures were produced again, setting the stage for the new "Star Wars: Episode 1" movie. A deluge of "Episode 1" items hit the stores in 1999, but were not as successful as the earlier versions. Now, in 2002, we have even more toys being produced for Episode 2.
